This was the massive window, we blew it and we blew it big time. That should give you all the answers you need to what will happen this summer.

Re: Summer transfer window
I wonder what the odds for relegation might be before the new season starts ? Losing Rice will be like losing 3 players...he plays every game and in every one of those games is our best player. History has a habit of repeating itself and we know what happened with previous owners who cashed in on their best young players and failed to invest wisely .... this window has been the biggest let down that I can remember . We were so close to being able to move on to next level and they've completely taken us for mugs again. Smoke and mirrors £50m bids for Raphina and Phillips , £60m for DCL ? Theres no money there , its now perfectly obvious.....

Too much to do in one window.

What a pickle.

Re: Summer transfer window
Relatively old squad, could be left down to 13-15 senior players at the very beginning of the window. What could possibly go wrong?

Re: Summer transfer window
...will be a repeat of this one from a buying point of view but at least we have the sales of Rice and Bowen to look forward to

Re: Summer transfer window
Villa handled losing Grealish pretty well. You can build a very good team with that amount of money. We won't find a midfielder of Rice's quality but we can find a top striker, lb, cb, etc. However Moyes/Sullivan handling that budget might result in a disaster.

Re: Summer transfer window
If Bowen and Rice were to leave we'd be looking at a warchest of over 200m (given there is clearly 50m available now).

But how do you replace Declan Rice? As Spurs showed when they sold Bale...a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush.

Back to being relegation fodder

Re: Summer transfer window
It's looking dreadful to be honest, if nobody comes in tonight that's of a certain quality then Rice needs to leave.

I wouldn't blame Bowen either, these cunts have had the perfect platform to push on from here and keep fucking it up by showing a lack of ambition

Sick to death with the lot of them
